When plugged into an OTG-enabled mobile terminal, the device system automatically recognizes the flash drive as an external storage source, allowing users to perform intuitive file operations in the system's file manager without the need for any intermediary devices.

 

Compared to regular USB flash drives, OTG flash drives significantly improve the efficiency and convenience of cross-platform data transfer. They retain the high-speed storage and stable transmission characteristics of traditional USB flash drives while expanding plug-and-play capabilities in mobile scenarios, making them particularly suitable for on-site data collection and transmission, mobile office file retrieval, and direct playback of multimedia content. For fields such as photography and videography, news reporting, education and training, and business presentations, OTG flash drives effectively shorten the transmission links between devices, reduce dependence on the network environment, and improve workflow continuity.

 

In terms of technological evolution, with the widespread adoption of USB-C interfaces and the increasing prevalence of OTG support in mobile devices, the application scope of OTG flash drives is constantly expanding. Their protocol compatibility and transmission speed are also continuously improving, gradually becoming an indispensable connection node in the modern mobile storage ecosystem.
